Westman Naturalists - Nature Walk - Souris

Wednesday, Jun 19, 2024 at 7:30PM

Victoria Park

We'll be walking through Victoria Park and looking for Chimney Swift in Souris on June 19th. There are plenty of trees with lots of birds, and maybe the occasional snake! Meet at the swimming pool by the park at 7:30pm, parking is available here.

After the park, we'll make our way to Crescent Ave W around 9:15 and keep an eye out for Chimney Swifts. The Chimney Swifts in Souris are not currently regularly monitored, If you're interested in learning more about Chimney Swifts or volunteering to help them, check out the Manitoba Chimney Swift Initiative.

The Victoria Park walk will be around 3km long with some steep areas. Dress for the weather and bring appropriate footwear! Feel free to join us at the start for the walk, or come later for the Chimney Swifts. No sign up is required for this event, though there will be a waiver to sign.
