Come and join Dr. Alex Koiter on a nature walk at the Eternal Springs recreational area near Virden and learn about the hydrology of the Assiniboine River Valley. In addition to seeing St. David’s Spring, a freshwater source coming out of the hillside, we will have the opportunity to walk through forest, across a 20m swinging bridge, and around two small lakes where we can hope to see a range of plant and animal species.
This outing involves walking along well established trails. Please be prepared, you will need to bring a good pair of walking shoes, sunscreen, bug protection, water, snacks and lunch. The Eternal Springs walk will be approximately two hours in duration and 2.5km in length.
We will meet in Brandon at 9am or you can meet us at Eternal Springs at 10am.
