Registration is on ice, starting at 9am. Submissions are accepted between 10am-2pm.
Adults - $30 / Youth (under 16) - $5
-$2,500 in cash prizes to be awarded by random draw in 5 length categories.
-Special prizes for youth under 16.
General Rules
This is a NORTHERN PIKE fishing derby on Lake Wahtopanah (aka Rivers Lake). Fishing can be anywhere on the lake.
-All Manitoba Fisheries regulations as in the current Manitoba Anglers Guide will apply.
-All Northern Pike less than 75cm (29.5") can be entered.
-All fish are to be presented for measurement between 10:00am and 2:00pm.
-Registration ticket number must be presented at time of measurement.
This is a catch and release derby, so all fish MUST be releasable after measurement. Any fish not healthy enough to swim away within 2 minutes will receive a measurement of zero.
There will be 5 prizes for any fish brought in closest to the predetermined “mystery times” during the day.
Winners will be determined by a random draw of all fish caught within each of the following categories:
70-75cm = $1,000
63-69.9cm = $500
54-62.9cm = $400
42-53.9cm = $350
< 41.9cm = $250
Only paid adult registrants are eligible for prize money. Registration ticket must be presented at time of prize payout. Additional prizes will be awarded to youth 15 and under who purchased a youth ticket.
