Fire + Frost Festival returns to Wasagaming in Riding Mountain National Park from March 12–15, 2026, transforming Clear Lake into a vibrant celebration of winter, creativity, and community - and all events are free. The four-day festival features artist workshops at Erickson Collegiate Institute, fire dancing, live music, an artisan market, snow carving, family activities, and winter games centred around the Klar Sø Winter Pavilion and Elkhorn Resort Spa & Conference Centre. Highlights include storytelling, an Oji-Cree fashion showcase, story telling, a family sled derby, video projections, NFB short films, live bands at the Lakehouse, a nature walk and art showcase with Aaron McKay, and a book reading with Cree artisan and author Edna Nabess. Fire + Frost invites visitors of all ages to experience winter magic through art, culture, food, music, and outdoor play in the heart of Clear Lake.
